WELLINGTON, Monday.

The following are left in after the second forfeit in the New Zealand St Leger Stakes of 500sovs, to be run at the Wellington Autumn Meeting:— Mr L. D. Nathan's br c Explosion, by Cuirassier—Jadestone. Mr G. G., Stead's Altair, by Castor—Cissy. Messrs Pollard and Sullivan's b g DjinDim, by Apremont—Dudu. Captain Russell's br f Tigress, by Dreadnought—Tigredia, Mr W. Hum's b c Conspirer, by Catesby —Spring Creek. Mr W. Hum's b c Caballer, by Catesby— Wai. At a meeting of the Wellington Racing Club stewards, it was decided to pay the stakes in the Flying Handicap ofthe November meeting over to Mr Brown, the owner of Osborne, in accordance with the decision of the judges appointed by the Racing Conference to consider the appeal. The Secretary (Mr H. H. Lyon) was deputed to represent the Club at the opening of the new course of the Dunedin Jockey Club at Wingatui, on March 22.
