CONCILIATION BOARD AWARD.

The following- is the award- of the Conciliation Board in the painters' dispute: Wages, 1/3 per hour, to be paid to competent men, down to 1/ for incompetent men; representative from each union with an umpire to decide as to the competency of a man if called into question; apprentices to be at the rate of one to every'four journeymen and to be paid G/G, 10/, 15/, 20/, and 25/ for successive years of-their apprenticeship; employers are not to discriminate against members of the union or do anything- to injure the union.
