The Choral Hall was packed last evening to hear the first of several lists of competitors;, from the fact that no less than twenty-two have already given samples of their respective capabilities, and that two or more afternoons are to be devoted to hearing the balance; the popularity ol these competitions is placed beyond a doubt. It would be manifestly unfair to particularly mention any of the items until the judgment is delivered, ' , :
This afternoon more musical competitions were being held, the classes judged being tenors, baritones, violin, soprano and piano. 'The Messiah will be repeated at the Choral Hall tonight, a 'shilling being charged for admission. Season ticket holders are reminded that their photographs must be attached to the tickets prior to the morning of Saturday next,24th inst. After that date no season ticket holders will be admitted without photo-
