This,afternoon the Court resumed, and evidence as to the value of the land was given by several witnesses called by Mr Campbell. Joseph Thomes, land agent, said he valued the laud in question at £1,700. He valued it- at £ 10 a foot. Robert H. Dueler said that when the land was taken three years ago, from £7 to £10 per foot could easily have been got for the whole depth. Malcolm Niccol deposed that the land, had a special value as a site for a ship building yp'd, slip, or dock. Independent of the value of the land it had a special value which witness considered to be £1,000.
