FEDERATION.
MELBOURNE, December 14
Sir George Turner, in the Legislative Assembly, said the next step in federation was to call a conference of Premiers, to consider the New South Wales amendments and any others the various colonies may make. While prepared to go a certain distance, he was not prepared to take federation at anj- price.
