CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION BILL.

SYDNEY, this day.
The Conciliation Bill provicfes that failing an attempt to settle difficulties between employer and employees, the Minister in charge of the department may direct the holding of a public inquiry and appoint conciliators or arbitrators. The Bill applies absolutely to both parties. Witnesses are compelled to give evidence,.but no-provi-sion is made for enforcement of an award. The Bill does not affect railway employees.
