Hutt, this day. The second day's races of the Wellington Racing Club are proceeding, with boautiful weather and a large attendance. Ths results so far are: January Handicap.—Sea Serpent (Hercock), 1; The Miser, 2; Trentalto, 3. . All started. Sea Serpent was firsb away artd was never caught, winning under tho whip by half-a-length. Time, lmin 58Jsec. Dividend, £8 Is. Hurdles. Taiagaroa (Higgins) 1 Much-ado 2 Aquafortis 3 All started. After going a mile Tangaro A and Much-a-do drew away three lengfthjs from Aquafortis and Bush Girl, with Revolt a bad last. Tangaroa stalled off a rush by Much-ado in the straight and won by half a length. Time, Smin 23Jaec. Dividend, £3 53. Revolt, who was last, died in the straight after passing the post, it is believed from an affection of tbe heart. K.C. Handicap. , Rangipuhi (Connop) 1 ;;; St. Paul ... 2 Strathbraan ... 3 All started. Won by a length.
