Acceptances for the firsb day's racing of tho Takapuna Jockey Club's Summer Meeting close to-nighb ab nine o'clock; Conscript arrived from New Plymouth yeatorday to fulfil lua engagements at the Takapuna Meeting. Vivian has been scratched for the Nowmarkeb Handicap and Australian Cup. The privileges tor the Takapuna Jockey Club's meeting were sold to-day by Messrs T. C. Bealo and Co., at the Brunswick Mart, when the folio-wing . prices were realised :—Sole riorhb pubHcan'fl booth (outside), Mr P. Quinlan, £158 ; publican's booth (inside). Mr P. Quinlan, £131; refreshment etalls, Mr Hunt. £14 ; carcla, Mr A. Cleave, £137 ; gates, Mr Bruce, £241. There was a large attendance, and bidding throughout was spirited.
