GISBORNE RACING CLUB'S MEETING.
Gisborne, Thursday. The above meeting was continued yesterday. The following are the resuhs:— Stewards' Handicap. — Strowan, 1 ; Nightingale, 2. These wera the only starters. Nightingale jumped away with the lead, bub Storowan caught her round the bond, and won hands down, by a coopfe of lengths. Time, Icain 32sec. There was no dividend, there being no investment on the machine. Second Hurdle*. —Hakaiero, 1 ; Kauri Gum, 2 : Lord Haven, 3. 1' Roao also ran. Time, 3nain 25sec. Dividend, £4 Ib. Counts' Stakes,—Nightingale and Goodehoti a dead heafa ; Lena, third. Dividenda : Nightingale, £1 3s; Gbodßbot, £2. Second Hack Hurdlks.—Success, 1 ; The Saint, 2 ; Dandy, 3. Time, 2min 58aeo. Dividend, £2 13aGrandstand Handicap.—Huna, Bst 101b (Manning), 1 ; Kingaman, 6it 71b, 2. These were the only starte/e. The pair raced in company for half a mile, when Kingsman was half a length in front. Buna then came up again on to level terms, and led into the straight). Kingsman whipping bard, and tie mare going easily, the race was never in doubt, Huna winning easily by over a length. No tiroa was taken. There was £5 on the machine. Dividend, £1 10s. Disposal Stakes.—Creeper, 1; Sassenach, 2; Magoozler, 3. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 32 4 59ec. Dividend, £10 Is. Forced Handicap.— Goodjihot, 1; Kaari Gum, 2 ; Kingsman, 3.
