Wellington, Thursday. Tsk annual poultry show was opened boday by the Governor. The entries are not bo numerous as lasb year, bufc the quality is quite up to the previous standard. The Ballance Challenge Trophy, valued at 30 guineas, for the most points in Langshanß, was won by F. Rogers, of Wellington. J. Bucknell, of Wanganui, had won the trophy on two occasion*, and only required to win chid time to secure id ontrighb, bub he failed. R. £. Bannister ns usual is the moeb successful prize-taker in poultry classes, and ho has a particularly fine lob of birds on exhibition.
