KILLED BY BURGLARS.

A CAFE PORTER SHOT,

London, December 8. A tragedy surrounded by mystery too place at the Cafe Royal last night. Th c night porter on duty was discovered lying on the floor. There were bullet, marks in the head, bub he was still alive when fouud. He was then conveyed to the hospital, where ha expired. The police think that the wounds were inflicted by burglars. An Italian has been arrested on suspicion. Medical evidence shows that the deceased had several bullet wounds in his bead, and thut -the weapon was fired from differeut directions, about 6in from the murdered man's head. Tne inquiry was adjourned.
