SHOCKING AFFAIR IN BELFAST.

London, December 6.
A shocking accident is reported from Belfast. A treat in connection with a Roman Catholic school was beiDg held in one of the city halls. Some mischievous person turned off the gas, and a dreadful panic amoni? the children resulted. To fiet out they bad to geb down a staircase, Here they became jambod, and ia the fearful crush four children were Jsilled and 16 more or 1033 eeriously injured.
London, December 7.
The panic in Belfast was caused by a boy named M'Konna. . The boy turned oft the gas at the meter, and thus occasioned the panic. He was arrested and broughb before the police court to-day. The jury, after bearing the evidence, exculpated M'Kenna, and added to their verdict a rider mildly censuring the man under whose direction the entertoiumenb was being held.
