MESSES NATHAN'S YEARLING SALE.
The batch of yearlings which Messrs L, D. and N. A. Nathan send up for sale withoub reserve on Monday afternoon, December 31sb, ab Sylvia Park, have been looked over by a number of racing men of late. Four are sired by Cuirassier, and three by St. Leger, and each has valuable engagements. The colb by St. Leger oub of Cantiniere is a very fino fellow indeed, and ib will be ebrange if he does nob realise a good price. Thd colt by Cuirassier out of Roie (Sb. Hippo's full sister) has plenby to recommend him both on the score of conformabion and breeding, while anobher promising one is a brown colb by Cuirassier oub of Sybil. The mobher of this colb is half-sister to Sb. Leger and Happy Land (dam of Hova, winner of the lasb Newmarket Handicap). Sybil in her firsb year at the etud has produced a smarb one in bhe two-year-old filly Lavinia. A chestnut colb by Sb. Leger oub of Lady Whibford is a real blue-blooded juvenile, and no fault can be found with a brown by Cuirassier oub of La Dauphine. Successful lines of blood are bo be found in bhe pedigree of bhe colb by Sb. Leger oub of Bellona, and anobher well-bred one is a brown by Cuirassier oub of Liquidation (half-sister to Maxim). I hope to chronicle that the Messrs Nathan have a successful sale.
