TAWHIAO'S TANGI.
TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS.
To-day being ■ the day on which Europeans were invited to attend the tangi over Tawhiao, a special excursion train which ran up to Taupiri from Auckland this morning, was very well patronised, several hundreds of Aucklanders taking the opportunity to visit tho large Maori assemblage. Songs of welcome, hakas, etc., were performed, and the visitors had an interesting glimpse ot Moari customs.
