The Agents-Veneral are arranging to interview Sir W. Harcourb re death duties. The Solicitor - Goneral, Breaking at Dumfries, denied that 'the Chancellor had been driven to confer wilih the Agents-General. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, in replying to Mr Hocan, said thab he did not desire to connect the death duties with the raising of money for naval defence. His remarks had been misunderstood. SirO. Baden-Powoll suggested that Sir VY. Harcourb should adopb a system of reciprocal deduction o.E death duties.
