Kuaotunu, Tuesday,
The Messrs Judd arrived this mornirlig from the Thames, for the purpose of erecting tho Matarangi battery, the planb for which is now on the way. Tho roturn from the Perseverance (Messrs Mclnnmey and Allen) did not turn out as well as was anticipated from the appearance of the' stone and the prospects obtained by pounding. Until a plant similar to that at VVaihi or Karangahake is available, it ia not to be expected there will be payable returns from the class of ore found in bhe majority of the mineß here. The man Arnold, mentioned in telegram, is still ulive. Ho improved soinewbab yosterday, bub is not quite so well this morning.
