OUR GOLDFIELDS.
Saxon. —The manager reports that he in tends to open out a leader one foot thick that was met with in the crosscut driven from No. 2 reef to No. 1, at No. 6 level. A few pounds of picked stone have already been secured from this leader, should ib turn out fairly, there will be 260 feet between the two breaks and from the prospects it should turn out fairly well. At No. 3 level the new reef is from 12 to 18 inches thick, and small patches of picked stone have been frequently met with. There are 2150z of amalgam on hand and 151b of picked stone.
Albdrnia. —The manager reports that the new leader is from eight inches to one foot in thickness, and has produced good crushing dirt, gold being frequently seen in the quartz, and at each breaking down parcele of picked stone have been obtained. In No. 2 stope the leader shows gold freely. Norfolk. —The manager reports that as a good deal of water is coming from the face, he believes there is. a large body, of quartz further ahead. ".,.. May Queen.—The manager wired today : " Colours of gold seen freely when breaking down the lode in the eaetern drive, No. 2 level, new section." A second telegram was posted subsequently: •' Quartz from new section ie giving loz to the load to-day.''

May Qqeen.—An important change for the better has taken place in this mine. Colours of gold were to-day freely seen in the No. 4 lode in the eastern drive of the new section.
