THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD.
A meeting of the members of the above board was held today at Mr D. G. MacDonnell's office, when there wore present: Messrs G. S. Kissling (chairman), Clark, Spratt, Dickey, Porter, McGowan, Comer, and Paltridge. Mejibebs , Expenses.—lb was decided, upon the motion of Mr Clark, seconded by Mr Spratfc, thab with a view to economising travelling expenses, all meetings in future held ab the Thames shall be attended by only three members from Auckland. Returns.—Mr A. Porter moved, and Mr Paltridgp seconded, "That the statement of accounts be made up to the end of each month, and that a copy of the same be forwarded to each member of the Board three days before the meeting." Statement of Accounts.—The Secretary submitted the- statement' of accounbs, which showed the receipts to be £501 lie Bd, and the expenditure £324 18a 7d. The liabilities were £1,044 7s 6d, and assets (including the drainage contributions for February) £1,404 3s Id. Macky - stkeet Drainage. — On the motion of Mr McGowan it was decided'that the Secretary should write a respectful request to the Borough Council thafc steps be taken to prevent the drainage from Mackystreet from going down tho Piako shaft. The matter of altering the day and hour of meeting was discussed at some length, but ib was ultimately resolved not to make any change.
