The Premier has received a telegram stating thab Epirama Timutu Kupu, a Governmenb supporter, has been elected for the Northern Maori District, vice Sydney Taiwhanga. The Government offices were closed this afternoon as a mark of respect to the late Sir William Fitzherberb. The funeral bakes place ab the Lower Hutt this afbernoon. Hon... Ballance, Buckley, Cadman, Reeves, bhe hoads of bhe Civil Service, and leading cibizens will attend.
