THE KUAOTUNU GOLDFIELD.

OPENING OF THE BATTERY.

Arrangements are being made for the starting of the new public battery erected by the Kuaotunu Quartz Crushing Company, which takes place on Tuesday next. A party of gentlemen aro expected to co from town on the occasion. The battery will commence upon the reduction of ore immediately after the formal opening, and no doubb bhe advantage of crushing power will make itself felt on the field. There is already a general rise in Kuaotunu stock, and the bright prospects of the Try Fluke and other mines are exercising a good effect on all stock.
