ST. ALOYSIN'S INFANT SCHOOL.

Tho presentation of prizes to the children of St. Aloysin's infant school took place at ten o'clock this morning. Besides the children, of whom there are 150 on the school roll, there were a number of parents and friends of the little ones present. Bishop Luck was present, and gave out the various prizes. Prior to the distribution of the gifts the pupils went 'through a very attractive and meritorious muaical and miscellaneous programme. After a hymn and a school song, "Some Folks," a recitation entitled " A Child's Dream " was given by Gertrude Cullen and Laura JTitzgerald, introducing a very pretty tableau. The remainder of the programme included a song, •• Tell me, Birdie," by Cissy Mulholland ; recitation, " The Boasting Boy," Wilfred Wright; song, •' We'll all go A-singing;" recitation, "A Present from Erin, ,, Ellen Lynch, May Bowden ; song, " Watching for Pa;" recitation, "Somebody," Leo Wright; song, " Mill May." Bishop Luck, before presenting the prizes, said he was delighted by the manner in which the children had given the selections, and ho complimented the teachers on the results of their instruction. The school had made extremely good progress during the year, and he was very glad to see that the pupils had done exceedingly well in their studies. Every child had made excellent progress, and out of the whole number thirteen bad passed with honours, obtaining the full 100 per cent, of marks.
