ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION.
PROGRESS OF THE SCHOOLS.
To-dAy, the annual distribution of prizes in connection with the Roman Catholic Convent schools, conducted by the Sisters of Mercy in Hobsonstreet, took place. The progress made by thechildrenof the various echbolsduring the pastyearwasshown by the prize-lists to beexcellont, and the results of the twelvemonths, tuition reflect the highest credit on the painstaking efforts of the sisters who devote themselves to the work of instructing the yonng people of the Roman Catholic portion of the population. His Lordship Bishop Luck presided over the gatherings in each school and presented the prizes to the children, besides expressing his great satisfaction with the work of the schools.
