FOOTBALL.

At the weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Union, held last Wednesday, the departure of tho Auckland Representative Team for the South was fixed for either tho 19th or 20tk of July. Tho final day depends on whether Hawke's Bay or Taranaki is to be met iirst. It vyas decided that the programme should include matches with Hawkfi's Bay, Wellington, Canterbury, Ota.tro, anrl Taranaki, the proposed matches with Wairarapa and Nelson being shelved as likely to interfere with the programme. It is intended that the tour will not extend over more than 23 days. Tee disputed match between Ponsonby 11. and Waitemata F.C. was brought before tho Cup Committee of tho Union last Wednesday evening, when, after hearing the evidence of tho referee, the game was declared a draw. The second round csf the clip matches starts to-morrow. On the following Saturday the first practice match for the "reps.1' will be held, and another on the 50th inst. On the 7th July the "reps." meet the native team. The Saturday after will bo devoted to a final practice match before the Auckland representatives go South. The Senior Cup matches, therefore, will not be resumed until August, when one or two will be played before the British team's return, tho match with thorn being fixed for September Bth. SENIOR CUP.
