Saturday Morning.

The district meeting resumed its sittings at 10 a.m.' The Secretary read Revelation Ist chap., and prayer was offered by the Rev. J. S. Rishworth. Mr George Stephenson, Home Missionary, Raglan, took his seat in the meeting. The Secretary read the record of yesterday's proceedings, which was approved. The preaching appointments for Sunday were considered, and slightly revised. At the request of the Secretary, statements of the state of the connexional trusts of the district were laid upon the table. The statement did not surprise nor alarm' the meeting, as the Church has been for some years receiving more candidates than can be well employed. It was the conviction of the meeting that when men are urgently wanted they will be forthcoming to the work.

In the matter of circuit exchange the Rev. S. Lawry moved, " That .wo recommend to the Conference that the quarterly exchange between Thames and Upper Thames circuits be omitted from the station-sheet as being both unnecessary and expensive." Carried unanimously. It was decided that the annual examination of tho Maori students at the Three Kings College take .place next Thursday. Aβ this is a very popular outing it is hoped that the day will be fine, and the examination patronised as largely as heretofore. 'Buses will leave the Pitt-street corner for the Three Kings at 9.30 a.m. •The beautiful Cantata, "Daughter of Moab," will be rendered by the Pitt-strOet choir, (assisted by.members of the Choral Society), in the church on Tuesday evening next in aid of the Church Extension Fund.

The Rev. Samuel La wry moved ■.." That this meeting, request that the Conference recommend to the General Conference that in the order of Conference business the question 'Are there any objections to any minister or preacher on trial?' be answered by reading the entry in the several district meeting minutes, the Conference retaining the right to institute inquiry in any individual case where it may be deemed necessary." Carried. The Secretary called the attention of the meeting to the fact that throughout the whole of New Zealand there are no candidates for the ministry this year. The Rev. T. G. Carr moved, "That it be a recommendation to the Conference to furnish superintendents with suitable baptismal cards for presentation to parents on the occasion of thebaptism of their children." Carried unanimously.

The remainder of the morning session was: spent in prayer for a blessing of the Sabbath, and the meeting rose at 12.30.
