Thames, this day. Cambria.—The manager informs me that colounofgoldwore observed yesterday when breaking down the rubbly quartz on the hanging-wall of tho lode in the winze below the 230 ft. level.
Caledonian Low Level.—Hard rock has again been struck in the north-western crosscut, but the manager believes it will prove .to be simply a large boulder which will soon be overcome. The southern crosscut is still passing through stringers, some of which are of exceedingly promising appearance. Moanataiari.—Harris, tribnter, banked lfilozs., and Rowo Coz. gold. Lone Hand.—Adams, tributer, obtained lOJozs. gold. Nevada (Karangahake).—Lockwood, tributer, crushed 11 tons for 5J0?.... gold. New Princb Imperial.—Operations will shortly be commenced upon the leader discovered by the Cross Company-at No. 5 level, below which it dips into the Imperial ground. The manager does not purpose cleaning up at the battery until near Christmas.
Dart.—Blotches of gold were found yesterday in the heavily mineralised hangingwall portion of No. 2 lode in tie eastward drive at No. 4 level.
