The Island Bay Handicap was won by Speculation (late Hippodamia), Consul second, Mata third; ana the Tramway Plate foil to Witiora, who beat Normanby, Laurel, Barbery, Dynamite, and Lady Albany. Tho totalisator paid a £24 divldond on Witiora.
