Suicide of a Fever Patient.
Gisborne, this day. — Frederick Cox, a master tailor, who had been suffering from fever, and waa slightly delirious, during the absence of his attendant at six this morning, got out unobserved from his house, and went and drowned himself in tho river. He leaves a wife and three children.
New Plymouth, Wednesday.—Rev. Mr Grant, Presbyterian minister, was presented with an address and purse of sovereigns last night. ■ A meeting is to bo held to-night for the purpose of sending Homo an emigration agent. Aocldent to Marino Survey Party. Nkw Plymouth, this day.—Mr Perhain, marine surveyor, and party, surveying the mouth of the Mokau River, had their bout capsized by the swell on the bar, and were nearly drowned, getting ashore in a most exhausted state.
