Cambridge, this day.—Though it has been decided to remove the headquarters of the constabulary from Cambridge, the future headquarters have not yet been fixed upon. It was rumoured that Alexandra was to be the place, but I understand the matter will not be decided until Colonel Reader's return to Wellington. What between Mr Bryee'a new Native Land Purchase Law and the removal of the constabulary, the Native Minister is becoming quite a popular man in this district.

The Land Court opened again this morning before Judges Mncdonald and Puckey, when the Te Whetu case was called. The natives are now arranging as to who Bhall conduct their case. It is expected that after Te Whetu is finished the Court will adjourn to Kihikihi. The return match between Otahuhu and Cambridge was played yesterday, when Otahuhu scored 91 and Cambridge 43.

Tiiajies, this day.—A meeting of shareholders in the Rocky Point was held last night, when it was decided to form a company with a capital of £10,000, in 20,000 shares of 10s each, nil paid up. Mr D. G. MacDonnell was appointed legal manager, Mr Thaney mine manager, and Messrs Porter, Alexander, Brown, Townsend, and Pitkethley, directors.

The adjourned meeting of the Thames River Steam Navigation Company was held last night, and it was found that 1,050 shares of the new issue had been subscribed for. The directors were therefore authorised to proceed with the issue of the shares.
