PONSONBY ROWING CUB.

The Ponsonby Rowing Club commences

what is expected to be a very prosperous and succesful season next week, under tho captaincy of Mr J. B, Morpeth. There are now fifty members, with a total of six boats, v hile n new whaleboat is about to be built.— Tho concert in aid of the funds takes place to-night in the Ponsonby Hall. A chair performance introducing a number of ballads by the WuitoniHta Minstrels, will be followed by songs, dances, &c., by Messrs Mettam, O'Haro, Hannkon, and others, and a comic sketch. A large number of tickets have been sold for the performance
