Extensive sales of wheat. 11,000 bushels realised 6s. Id.; 25,000 ditto, 6s. Sugars exhibit a slight decline. — There is n_. further news from the Northern Territory as expected by the mail.—Parliament meets_ on the 28th. — There have been fino rains, and weather favourable for agricultural purposes.—There have been five malt-houses burned down, the property of Howson and Cattolove, brewers ; stock saved. —The Hobarton deputation, consisting of two bishops, the mayor, and others, interviewed the Colonial Secretary. They complained of the excessive number of public-houses. . Tho Government promised to consider the matter.
