DUVAUCHELLE MONTHLY STOCK SALE Large Entry of Store Cattle The monthly stock sale was held at Duvaucuelle on Friday, a week earlier than usual on account of the double market at Addington next week. There was an entry of over 300 head of cattle and about 100 sheep. The yarding of fat cattle was much smaller than usual and there were no heavy steers yarded. In the store cattle sale two and three-year-old steers sold well up to Addington market rates bat a number of pens were passed. Yearlings were hard to quit. Over 100 head were passed at action, but some were sold privately after the sale. A draft on account of Mr B. H. Tosswill, Pigeon Bay, sold readily. The sheep sale was quite keen and small lots sold well. The range of prices was as follows:
Fat steers £10 15s to £11 ss. Fat cows £7 to £14 10s. Fat heifers £8 12s 6d to £15 ss. Store cows £2 to £7. December calvers to £5 12s 6d. Yearling heifers £4 5s to £5 lis. Yearling steers £4 15s to £6. Two-year-old heifers £5 15 to £6 10 Two-year-old steers £5 17s 6d to £7 2s 6d.
Three-year-old steers £8 to £9 10s Forward, three-year-old s,teeirs to £11 10s.
