ON BANKS PENINSULA

Considerable Herd Losses After

Snowstorm

The late season and the effects of the July snrwstorm on Banks Penin-

sulp are having their effect upon

dairy facto 'y producti )n this year

There was an unusual shortage of grass in August and September and

a great deal of hay and other fodder

had to be purchased to keep up feed

supplies for the herds. As a result of the snowstorm there was also a

much heavier loss of dairy cows this

spring than usual and some dairymen

up to a week ago milk received was 500 gallons to 600 gallons short of

last year's figures. Up to last week

compared with 2600 gallons at
