Last night a number of friends met at Mrs W. J. Edginton's home, Akaroa, to bid farewell to Miss Nalda Bergen, who is leaving shortly to return to her family in Auckland. Miss Bergen is paying a holiday visit to the North Island with Mrs H. Bunny and Miss 0. Kingston before returning home. She has been residing at Akaroa for the last three years.
Mrs J. W. A. Boleyn, (Stoney Bay West) left on Tuesday for Dunedin where she is spending a holiday with her son Mr D. Boleyn, St. Clair,
Dunedin,
Mr J. Read, only son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Read, William street, Akaroa, formerly proprietor of the Little River-Akaroa Motor service and now stationed at the Hutt, Wellington, is spending a holiday with his parents at Akaroa.
