AKAROA FOOTBALL CLUB.

The annual general meeting of this Olub was held on Tuesday evening in the Oddfellows' Hall eide room. There was a large attendance of members and the chair was occupied by Mr F. Michell. The minute, of the previous meeting were rend and confitmed, after which the Secretary read tbe report and balance sheet, a credit balance of £3 2i 93. Tbis waa considered very satisfactory and the report and balance sheet were unanimously djpted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season :— Pa ron, W. H. Montgomery, Esq. ; President, R H. Rhodes, Esq., M H.R ; Vice-Presidents. Messrs C. L. Milne, B. Baiker, Bruc ', Spooner, Eurland, Mackay, and Dr. Hargreaves ;Club Captaio, Mr F. S. Michell, Vice-Captain, Mr A. Gray ; Fiold Captain, Mr A. Narbey; Committee, Meßßrs M. Glynan, P. Lynskey, H. Porter, M. Kearney and P. Magoire; Delegates to PR.A., Messrs A Gray and O Goodwin ; Delegate to C.R.U., Mr C. Allird ; t-elecii n Oommi'tee, Messrs Gray, Michell and Narbey. It was decide! to op9n the season on Thu:sday, May 14th ; also to enter team for Flag Competition. Considerable discussion ensued on tbe question of getting vi-itiug teams to the Pdniuula, and it was decided that it te a recommendation to the PR. A. to apply to the CR.U. for a team to be sent down this season, j After electing several new members the meeting adjourned.
