AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
I A special meeting of this Council was held on Wednesday evening, His Worship tho Mayor presiding, for the purpose of passing a resolution providing for the interest at 3£ per cent, on a loan of £3,800, authorised to be raised under the " Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901, for the drainage of the Borough by the septic tank system. The Mayor moved to the effect that the intereat should be provided by a special rate of |d in the £ on the rateable valuation of

The Mayor then moved, and Cr Leete seconded—The-' a special meeting of thie C unctl be held at 7,16 p.m., on March 25bh, 19)3, to confirm tbe above sppcial order, making the special annual recurring rate. Carried. It wa" then resolved-That the TWtt Clerk insert the necpasary noticed in the Akaboa. Mail. This concluded the special meeting.
