GRAIN'S ROAD BOARD.

Tenders were then opened for contract? No 1,2, 3 and 4, and t'.oseof Mr H. Gilbert accepted at £3. £i, £6 and £5 10s respectively.

The Clerk wis instructed to write -t.n Mr Geo, Cox. stating that the 80-rd woa'd accept a lump sum of £3 for his wharfage for the year coding February 1 at, a 897 j also to write ito Mr sßailey for account for money dae >to him on 'bridges, and re his rates. Mr Mason reported that 'he had got the remainder of the Okain's getty redecked with V.D.L. tinrfber, and had also got the various roads in the district clen red of slips and obstructions. The Clerk was instructed to call for tenders for grass-seed on Toada for 1-st September ; if tenders l not satisfactory to be auctioned later oii.

Resolved that all rates not settled by September 19th be 6ued for.
