RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Little River : Wednesday, July 20. Before G. A. PuEEOB, Esq., R.M., and W» Coop. Esq , J. P. CATrLE TRESPASS. W. and G. Birdling, John Longey and Sidney Harris were each fined 5e and costs for this offence. LARCENY. .William Brown was charged with having stolen a pair of spurs, value 9a, the property of Sidney Harris on the 9th of March last. The Resident Magistrate, after hearing evidence, severely cautioned the accused, stated that, ne there was nothing against him previously, he would dismiss the information, and hoped this would be a warding to him in future. ASSAULT. Geo. Thomson was chargedl with assaulting Sidney Harris at Bail way Station on 13th in Ht. Mr Byrne appeared for Mr Harris. Afttr hearing evidence, the information was dismissed, THREATENING LANGUAGE. Mary Anne Curling charged Robert Clough with this offence. Mr Byrne appeared for defendant. Defendant was ordered to enter into a recognizance, with one surety in the sum of £10. to keep the peace for three months, and pay costs, 7s. CIVIL CASES. , In the cases of Thomson v. Kini (£1 7e). Hay Bros. v. Joblin (£3O), Kissel v. LeProu (£1 2s Id). Harris v Jublin (£43 10s 8d) judgment by default was given with costs, and in case of Harris v. Joblin, plaintiff's solicitor (Mr Byrne) was allowed solicitor's fee, £1 Is. Harris v. Davidson ; claim! £5 11s. The amount with costs were paid into Court just previous to sitting, bat Mr Byrne, applied for his fee, as he had no notice of the amount being paid into Court —Judgment for £1 Is, and bearing lee, sa. Harris v. Johnson ; claim, £12 13s 6dt Judgment for plaintiff for £12 Is 6d, with costs and solicitor's fee (Mr Byrne's), £lls. '
