On Monday night a meeting of. ex-servicemen was held to discuss and prepare remits for a conference to be held in Dunedin on March 6th. The President, Mr J. K. McKissock presided over a good attendance. It was decided to torward four remits dealing, with land settlement, the rehabilitation of exservicemen/ into, new orchards and the delay in completing soldiers homes owing to the shortage ot building material. Mr J. R. Mc Kissock was appointed delegate io represent the local committee. The annual meeting was fixed for Friday, 14th March. The following exservicemen Messrs J. D. Watt, J. R. McKissock, F. Jack, and H. Hinton leave for Dunedin on Friday to take part in the Annual Diggers' Bowling Tournament which is being held on Saturday.
