The Alexandra Branch of the above held its first meeting of the year in the Anglican Hall on Wednesday last at 8 p.m. Mrs Provan presided and a large . attendance of members and their friends. After the business of the meeting was dealt with Mrs Annan gave a short address on Division affairs with special reference to the new headquarters building in Wellington Mrs J. Tohill entertained with two vocal solos, and Mrs McArthur gave a most interesting talk on the preparation of the garden for spring, the planting of bulbs and the grouping of plants for continuous show throughout the season. Mrs Aimers read extracts from letters from Japan and displayed several dainty gifts which aroused much interest. Supper and the singing of the National Anthem brought the meeting to a close.
