Fruit Report
Messrs Townsend & Paul, T.td. Fruit and Produce Merchants, Wellington, report;— Owing to the recent "disastrous storms very small supplies of stone fruits have been offered from the North Island districts. All varieties readily realising ceiling prices whilst Nectarines and Tomatoes and greengages have been in demand. Quotations are: Apricots 13/8, Peaches 12/8. Plums 11/2, Greengages 18/to 33/-. Nectarines 15-* to 27-6 I case; Tomatoes 6id lb.; Raspberries and Black Currants wanted.
