Mr F. W. G-. Miller, chief reporter Southland Daily News, is spending a holiday with Mr A. Lindsay, Fruitlands. ' Mr Ross Gordon left for Christchurch yesterday where he will undertake a university engineerinr course. Miss N. is at present visiting the North Island. Mr and Mrs "W. A. Robertson arc visitors to Alexandra. We regret to record that Mrs Duncan Bringans was admitted to the Dunstan Hospital on Saturday suffering from a broken leg. Mr G. J. Griffiths of Invercargill is at present visiting Alexandra last evening he addressed the Alexandra Rotary Club .members. Rev A. C. W. Standage is a! present visiting Alexandra. Mr and Mrs W. J. Campbell, of Mossiel, are at present visiting Mr G. W. T. Campbell. Mr and" Mrs W. Ryder returned to Alexandra on Tuesday last. On Saturday the employees of the Clutha River Dredge gathered together to bid farewell to Mr Arthur Kitto, who has left to take up a position with the Post and Telegraph Department. *ln making p small presentation to Mr Kitto on behalf of the employees. Mr J. Forrest paid tribute to Mr Kitto's popularity as a fellow worker and wished him every success in his new venture. Mr Kitto suitably replied
