DISTINGUISHED CAREER (Rec. 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 16. Lord Hailsham, an outstanding British lawyer who was twice AttorneyGeneral and twice Lord Chancellor in Britain, died at his home in Sussex today after a short illness. He was 78. '—Reuter.
