WOMEN’S FIXTURES

INTERESTING END OF SEASON The women’s hockey season, nearing its end, has many important and interesting fixtures to comprise its remaining activities. At a recent meeting of the Ashburton Union it was decided to hold the' annual knock-out competition in senior and junior grades on September 9. Seniors will play for the Bishop Memorial Shield, and juniors for the Knock-out Cup. On August 19, it was also decided, when the two representative teams are absent from Ashburton at the New Zealand tournament, friendly games will be arranged for i all who will still be in Ashburton. On Saturday next senior A and B representatives will play, in Timaru their annual matches with South Canterbury and in consequence there will be no games in Ashburton.- For the representative fixture the Following are the teams and officials: “A” Team—M.
