ASHBURTON SUB-ASSOCIATION’S MATCHES The annual Town v. Country match was played at Ashburton on Saturday. This fixture marked the close of the season for the Mid-Canterbury Lawn Tennis Sub-Association. Trophies won during the year were presented by the president (Mr T. L. Crooks). The Town v. Country match was won by Town, by 21 sets to 13. Details are as follow, with Town names first: Men’s Doubles—C. Hooper and W. Wade lost to R. Cocks and A. Oakley 8-9, N. Gosnell and G.
