BRITISH EXCHEQUER BONDS

CONVERSION ANNOUNCED (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 2. The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Stafford Cripps) announced in the House of Commons to-day that holders of If per cent. Exchequer bonds, of which £787,000,000 was outstanding, would be offered conversion at par: into new 25 Exchequer stock redeemable at par on February 15, 1955. ‘ Holdings of If per cent. Exchequer bonds not converted would be paid out at par on February 15, 1950.
