DOZENS OF YACHTS CAPSIZE

STRONG WIND AT AUCKLAND (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. Several dozen small Auckland yachts were capsized on Saturday before and during races at the opening of the season. No count could be kept of the number of crews rescued, but patrol and private launches were engaged all Saturday afternoon picking up yachtsmen- from capsized craft which studded the upper harbour from Westhaven to Chelsea. A strong easterly wind against an ebb tide made the day, one of the worst in Auckland’s recent yachting his’torv. The easterly wind rose steadily during Saturday morning and in the afternon gusts reached 38 miles an hour.
