The same record was equalled this year by a ewe belonging to the same farmer. At Highbank this season, Messrs Davis Bros.’ lambing has worked out at 150 per cent. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO (from the “Guardian,” Aug. 24, 1924). Red Tennis Balls —Red tennis balls are an innovation which appear to be selling well in this country. The idea of the different colour is that the balls can be more easily distinguished in failing light. A company interested in sports equipment has stated that the balls were originally intended for Switzerland, and by mistake a small shipment was sent to New Zealand last year. They had sold well it was stated.
