FIRE ON SHIP
TWO SEAMEN BURNED (Rec. 11.10) SYDNEY, This Day. Two Swedish seamen were severely burnt in a lire which broke out aboard the motorship Kookaburra (4813 tons) berthed at Walsh Bay, Sydney late last night. The smoke Avas so dense that firemen had to use respirators and seltbreathing apparatus. The fire started in a cabin shared by two seamen who, though injured, managed to give the alarm. Prompt action b\ T city firemen prevented damage to the cargo of Oregon ,and fuel oil, but repairs to the accommodation section of the ship will cost thousands of pounds.
