Sports Association —We have received a letter from “One Interested in Sport,” urging that the various clubs should- lose, no time in calling a meeting the propriety of at once forming a sports association. The longer the matter is delayed the less chance there will be of doing good work in time for next season.
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO (From the "Guardian,” April IS, 1924). Railway Line Jubilee Year —This is tlie jubilee year of the railway line from Rakaia to Ashburton. In this connection the following paragraph is taken from the ,r Lyttelton Times” of April 15, 1874: —“The Ashburton Railway—An advertisement from the contractor announces that goods will he carried from Rakaia to Ashburton on and after the 20th inst., at rates specified therein.
