DEFENCE BUDGET
PASSED IN U.S. WASHINGTON .April 14. The House of Representatives has passed a bill to give the armed services the record post-war amount of nearly 16,000,000,000 dollars to spend in the financial year ending June 30, 1950. . .. The House refused, however, to urn an extra 300,000,000 dollars for the Navy and Air Force. The national defence budget last year Was 10,454,477,413 dollars.
